Mark asked: Have been diagnosed for three years, and always seem to relaspe just as things seem to be getting better. Currently flared-up. Diet mainly consists of white meat, fish, potatoes, carrot and swede. Cannot tolerate green veg or salad veg, cheese, tomatoes, onion. I don’t eat rice, noodles, chilli or curry, and the only hot foodstuff I have is a very small amount of brown pepper on chicken. How do people whose diet is mainly a spicey one, ie Asian/Indian, cope with Colitis?

Tushar M asked: I have been suffering from ulcerative colitis for the last 2 1/2 years. Can anybody suggest what medicines I should take and what food I should avoid? Because of blood leakage my haemoglobin level goes down. What food would give more iron and hence to absorb the iron what food to take?

Persistent Anomaly asked: Do you know any people living with it? Well, I am undergoing that surgery tomorrow and I dont know how life is after that and I wanted to know how it is. I dont trust my Doctor very much. I think they are just experimenting with me. So any informating would be valuable.
