I have recently been dianosed with severe IBS and have been in misery for several months now. I was wondering if anyone has had any sucess with treatment where you can have a somewhat normal life.
I have had several tests to exclude gallbladder and even a colonoscopy. The results from the scope said I had an impacted bowel. And all the meds and fiber they have tried has failed.

I’VE HAD 5 COLONOSCOPIES SINCE 03, NO CANCER BUT A POLOP. 2 ENDOSCOPIES THE LAST ONE SHOWED DIALATED BLOOD VESSELS. MY STOMACH IS SO SENSITIVE I CAN NOT TAKE PAIN KILLERS OR 98% OF MEDS BECAUSE MY STOMACH WILL BLEED AND HURT AS IF IT’S BEING RIPPED APART. I SUFFER EVERYDAY IN PAIN. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? I AM AT THE END OF MY ROPE…:-(
I have tried over 30 different prescription’s with no help or relief. The last was belladonna which i could not function with.

I suffer from IBS, and it is really starting to take it’s toll on my social and family life. It only really affects me when it’s time to leave the house (when my adrenaline levels are elevated), and it is making me miserable. I haven’t been out to eat with my hubby and kids in a couple years at least, because the “flare ups” make me miserable and shake and sweat and I can’t possibly eat. I don’t have health insurance, so a doctor’s prescription isn’t an option. Are there any supplements that I can take or “home remedies” that will help me? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I’m willing to try just about anything to get my life back!
I’ve had this problem for most of my life, but it has gotten significantly worse since I had my gallbladder removed in December of ‘04. It is much more painfuul now (to the point I feel faint).
